Yesterday, during the middle of Father’s Day in the city, the NYPD bee keepers were summoned to help with a minor hive situation…
A swarm of bees formed around a chained bike on Greenwich Street, around the TriBeCa and SoHo areas of Manhattan. One of the officer bee keepers tweeted an adorable little message about what he was up to upon recieving the call for the job:
I was on my way to celebrate Father’s Day with the fam when I was called in to take care of this swarm in TriBeCa, so I took my very own queen bee & baby queen with me. Bees were removed safely and my daughter now has 30,000 new sisters 👍 -Officer Lauriano #HappyFathersDay pic.twitter.com/bjgEP5aCwq
