There’s nothing like taking a dip on a hot summers day, but not all public pools are created equal. A beautiful new rooftop pool in Brooklyn offers unparalleled views of the city and it opens on Saturday.
One of our favorite views of the city has to be that of lower Manhattan from Brooklyn, it has to be one of the most instagrammable vistas in the city. If it isn’t your absolute favorite it has to be in your top 10, right? Now image that breathtaking view from a jaw dropping, brand new, rooftop swimming pool.
A 3-foot deep lounge pool, complete with panoramic views of the East River, Statue of Liberty, Manhattan skyline and the Brooklyn Bridge opens on Saturday. Brooklynites could very well have the best rooftop pool in the city.
Located on the Brooklyn Heights waterfront, the pool forms part of the brand-new 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge. The gorgeous 1 Rooftop Pool opens to the public this weekend with two official kick-off parties.
Saturday’s party is a Santorini-themed Beach Party with live music from Chloe Caillet and E.B. Sollis.
Sunday’s party is a “Lime and Kotch” themed shindig with Damon DeGraff and Gabija providing reggae and funk music.
1 Rooftop Pool is open to the public from Monday to Friday after 6 pm and offers wine, beer, and cocktails with a menu of seasonal bites.
If you’re thinking about just rolling up to take a quick dip, bear in mind that from Monday to Friday there is a minimum spend starting at $75 per person. For the themed pool parties that will go on over Saturdays and Sundays, the minimum spend starts at $200 per person. The prices may be as high as the rooftop itself, but it may just be worth treating yourself for that unparalleled view of the city.
