Famous at one point for being a rooftop destination for drinks in Manhattan, Top of the Tower closed several years back. However, the space will soon be reopening as the luxurious rooftop bar Ophelia.
At Ophelia you’ll revel in the same sweeping views of the city and East River that famous guests like Miles Davis, Frank Zappa, and Frank Sinatra once enjoyed.

Located in the historic Beekman Tower, the chief executive of Merchants Hospitality Inc., Abraham Merchant told the WSJ that in reinventing this space the “company aimed to restore some of its art deco glamour, while also offering contemporary and whimsical touches.”

The new rooftop bar will seat 100 people, and offer better views than before from their outdoor terrace. Ophelia will offer fabulous cocktails beginning Monday, Feb. 12. (A perfect spot for a romantic date night for Valentine’s Day?)
