With the year’s first 8pm sunset on the horizon, summer is inching closer and closer, and one of our favorite summer activities is frolicking around all the festivals that pop up around NYC! One event that always makes it onto our radar each year: the Astoria Park Carnival, and it’s returning in all its nostalgic glory this June! Here’s everything you need to know about the 2025 Astoria Park Carnival:
What is the Astoria Park Carnival?
The Astoria Park Carnival is a beloved annual four-day festival that brings exhilarating games, rides, live music, and carnival food to the heart of Astoria. The first ever iteration took place June 22nd to June 26th, 2016.
When is the Astoria Park Carnival?
The 2025 Astoria Park Carnival will take over Astoria Park Wednesday, June 4th to Sunday, June 8th. Hours of operation are as follows:
- 6/4 Wednesday – 4pm – 10pm
- 6/5 Thursday – 4pm – 10pm
- 6/6 Friday – 4pm – 11pm
- 6/7 Saturday – 12pm – 11:59pm
- 6/8 Sunday – 12pm – 11pm
Where is the Astoria Park Carnival?
The Astoria Carnival takes place on the corner of Hoyt Ave N and 19th Street under the RFK Bridge, with the East River serving as the backdrop.
How much do tickets cost at the Astoria Park Carnival?
Admission to the carnival is free. Single rides tickets cost $1.50 each. Bundle deals are available with 20 tickets for $32 ($30 if paying with cash) and 50 tickets (plus one free ride) for $62 ($60 if paying with cash).
Ride tickets are available to purchase on site daily at the carnival’s ticket box offices.
What else should I know about the Astoria Park Carnival?
It’s important to note the carnival’s parental policies, which include no unaccompanied minors–all guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (aged 21 years and older) when visiting during all operational hours. There’s a limit of four minors to one adult.
