Having spent a decade in the city, an incredible NYC-based photographer has cataloged and amazing collection of “perfectly-timed” street photos that are both beautiful and inspiring. Check them out here.
Jonathan Higbee was born and raised outside Kansas City, Missouri, and has lived in Detroit, Chicago, Seattle, and Los Angeles, but he’s called New York home nearly a decade.
He discovered his passion for photography while living in Los Angeles so it made sense that it was his go-to way of familiarizing himself with New York City.
Higbee is no amateur, he is a 2018 Hasselblad Masters finalist and has earned multiple awards, including the 2015 World Street Photography grand prize. He is exhibited across the world, most recently in Paris, and is published regularly, with recent features in Colossal, LensCulture, LFI Magazine, Huffington Post, GUP Magazine, the Phoblographer and more.
Higbee’s “Coincidences” collection is a love letter to New York City, and:
…the infinite number of magical, ephemeral and serendipitous moments that make it a city unlike any other. – jonathanhigbee.com
