Arlo’s Rooftop Bar Transforms Into A Winter Wonderland With Cozy Ice Huts
New York City’s Arlo Hotels have transformed into a cozy winter oasis for the season—an experience they’re calling Arlo Arctica.

Arlo Arctica is a collaboration between Arlo Hotels and Shackleton Whisky to bring the Shackleton Antarctica Expedition of 1907 to life in NYC. The experience transports guests to The South Pole with cozy heated ice huts and a winter den that offers shearling blankets and a warm fireplace.

Arlo NoMad is already open for the season, with the ice huts ready for guests on their rooftop bar, The Heights. According to their press release:

The BARlo terrace is outfitted in Shackleton artifacts, ice sculptures, a fireplace and welcoming camp-like furnishings. Guests can order from the exclusive Arlo Arctica menu, offering carefully-curated Shackleton Whisky cocktails, like the 88 Degrees South (made with lemon, lime and Angostura bitters) and Royds Toddy (made with Earl Grey tea, lemon and cloves), as well as a South Pole Pizza with Béchamel sauce, onions, Fontina and pancetta.

The Arlo Arctica experience will be up through the winter season until the end of March, 2019, with the Arlo SoHo opening on December 1st!
Beginning in December, Arlo SoHo will transform their current fall greenhouse rooftop to match the NoMad location with enchanting ice huts, heaters, and a specialty menu. This space will be called The Courtyard, and will also have real snow falling on the hour while you’re there, presumably all bundled up within the hut.

Arlo NoMad is currently open from 5 p.m. until midnight, daily. The SoHo location will be open from 7 a.m. until midnight, however, the Arlo Arctica menu will only be available from 5 p.m. until midnight.
Reservations aren’t required, but you might want to make one if you expect to go with a group!
