Obsessed with Japanese pop culture? Anime NYC, the city’s 3-day anime convention, is set to return this fall at the Javits Center.
What is Anime NYC?
Described as “a party, a market, and a festival,” the convention celebrates everything from Japanese animation, to manga and cosplay with exhibits in their 300,000 square foot Exhibit Hall, exclusive screenings, panels and appearances from Japan’s biggest creators. It’s ran by boutique event company, LeftField Media.
When is Anime NYC 2023?
Anime NYC is happening from November 17-19, 2023.
Where is Anime NYC 2023?
Anime NYC will take place at the Javits Center at 445 11th Avenue.
How many people attend?
The event draws tens of thousands of anime fans from all over the world to come together and connect over shared interests. Last year’s event welcomed 55,000 people!
What’s new this year?
New to Anime NYC are the highly requested Anime NYC+ Badges. As stated by the Anime NYC website, the Anime NYC+ Badges include:
- An Anime NYC+ Only lounge that includes seating, water, a private bathroom, and complimentary coat check.
- An expedited entrance into the Javits Center
- First access to the show floor all three days
- The ability to reserve a seat for one Main Stage panel (not including paid Special Events) within the front rows of the main stage
- Early access to purchase select Special Event tickets
- An official 2023 pin and lanyard
- 10% off merchandise at the Official Show Store Booth
All badges purchased between April 19 – November 6 can be either mailed or picked up from a retail partner to prevent onsite pick up crowding.
Who is the Anime NYC mascot?
Alice, Anime NYC’s mascot, is a loyal misfit who’s secretly part of the NYC Mecha Corps. With Rocket, her Chinchilla co-pilot, the two work to protect NYC at whatever cost. She was first created in 2018 to embody the spirit of Anime NYC. Learn more about Alice, her future and variants here.
