Flying cross country is becoming even easier for New Yorkers as Alaska Airlines adds a daily flight from JFK airport to Seattle.
After a merger with Virgin Airlines, Alaska Airlines has been moving to expand its business. This includes adding various flight routes across the U.S. Beginning in July, New Yorkers will be able to hop on a flight any day of the week to catch a non-stop flight to Seattle. The flight from NYC to Seattle will take off daily from New York at 6:55 p.m.
In a press release, the vice president of Alaska Airlines said,
“We continue to add exciting new destinations from our key West Coast hubs and focus cities, providing our valued guests more nonstop options to meet their business and leisure needs. Alaska offers the most coast-to-coast markets of any airline, and continues to expand our route network with over 40 new markets added since the acquisition of Virgin America.”
The company plans to open a new Alaska Lounge at JFK later this month and will provide travelers with “a premium lounge experience featuring signature touches like a barista for custom crafted coffee drinks and a relaxing living room feel that embodies the airlines’ cool, West Coast vibe”
