The NYC Marathon always brings out the city’s best cheerleaders, but on Sunday, one of them happened to be the captain of the New York Yankees.
Aaron Judge was spotted along the course on the Upper East Side, cheering on his wife, Samantha Bracksieck, as she ran the 26.2-mile race.
He wasn’t in the stands or a VIP tent, either. He was right up against the barricades with everyone else, around East 88th Street and First Avenue, with their daughter, Nora, in his arms.
A sweet sideline moment
Dressed in sunglasses and a Yankees pullover, Judge waved as runners streamed past.
When Samantha reached her family, she paused for a quick hello with Judge and Nora, while Judge appeared to film the moment on his phone, Sports Illustrated reports.
Fans who spotted him couldn’t get enough.
Samantha’s speedy finish
And Samantha didn’t just finish. She flew!
Her unofficial time was 3 hours, 29 minutes and 44 seconds, according to Pinstripes Nation, which is seriously impressive for a course that winds through all five boroughs.
It’s not the first time she’s taken on New York’s biggest race, either having ran it in 2022, 2023 and 2025, and Judge has a habit of showing up for her on marathon day.
After a long season in the Bronx, it’s nice to see the Yankees captain enjoying a Sunday on the other side of the cheering!
