McDonald’s opened their flagship outpost in the heart of Times Square on Thursday (May 30), and it’s massive.
This McDonald’s Flagship (as they’re referring to it as) is a whopping 11,199 square-feet, three floors high, and features a 9,280 square-foot billboard on top—the third largest in Times Square! Located at 1528 Broadway on West 45th Street, the three-story space has a sleek, modern look with all the bells and whistles that fast casual (or fast food) restaurants are beginning to implement in their stores, like the self-order kiosks (which they have 18 of) and charging stations (at every table).
In addition to the digital kiosks on the ground floor, there are several stationed on the second floor for additional orders. There will also be Guest Experience Leaders available along with table service!
The upgraded space is part of the company’s “Experience the Future” initiative to renovate all 14,000 U.S. restaurants, with a “focus on creating a more convenient and enjoyable experience” for the customer, by 2022.
