American Express is bringing its largest Centurion Lounge yet to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).
Set to open in 2027, the 30,000-square-foot space will span two floors inside Terminal A.
This opening officially makes American Express the first credit card issuer to operate proprietary lounges across all three major New York City-area airports.

A taste of New Jersey
The overall lounge design draws heavy inspiration from New Jersey’s cultural heritage.
Guests will also find a prominent sculptural installation celebrating the state’s long legacy of invention and discovery.
You can expect three distinct bar experiences scattered throughout the two-story space:
- The Main Bar will pour craft cocktails and curated wines.
- The Specialty Bar offers a sleek, modern spin on the state’s iconic diner culture.
- The Pine Barrens-inspired Terrace Bar will serve up gelato, Italian pastries, and Italian-inspired cocktails to honor local heritage.

Premium dining and wellness
Travelers looking to recharge before a flight can visit the Blue Roast by American Express Coffee and Wellness Bar.
The bar will feature seasonal coffee from a local roaster alongside fresh, health-forward items like smoothies, avocado toast, and chia pudding.
For a full meal, visitors can enjoy signature dishes from the Culinary Collective.
The lounge menu highlights creations from James Beard Award-winning Resy chefs, including Kwame Onwuachi, Mike Solomonov, Mashama Bailey, and Sarah Grueneberg.
