Com o inverno em plena floração e com a queda de 5 a 8 polegadas de neve em Nova York – com potencial para ser a maior tempestade de neve em dois anos – estamos prontos para aproveitá-la com trenós!
Essa é uma de nossas atividades favoritas de inverno, e os parques e colinas de Nova York são o lugar perfeito para horas de diversão. Os dias de neve só acontecem de vez em quando… portanto, veja aqui onde levar seus tubos e trenós:
1. Prospect Park
O Prospect Park é o lar de muitas colinas e locais para andar de trenó, especialmente Long Meadow, o trecho de quase um quilômetro de prado ininterrupto! Há também o The Nethermead, um prado ondulado perto do centro do parque que também é perfeito!
Onde: Entre Prospect Pk W, Flatbush, Parkside, Ocean Aves no Brooklyn
2. Parque Fort Greene
Esse parque em Clinton Hill tem quatro colinas para trenós, todas com inclinações diferentes. Há encostas mais suaves para os mais jovens, além de encostas mais íngremes para os nova-iorquinos mais velhos que estão abraçando sua criança interior!
Onde: Entre a Myrtle Ave. e a De Kalb Ave. Washington Park e St. Edward’s St.
3. Central Park
Os pontos mais populares do parque mais icônico de Nova York são provavelmente Pilgrim Hill (perto da 72nd Street e Fifth Avenue, ao sul do Conservatory Water) e Bethesda Foundation Steps (com vista para a margem sul do lago)! Há também o Cedar Hill, no East Side, entre a 76th e a 79th St.
Onde: Acima da 70th St, entre a Fifth Ave e o Central Park West
4. Degraus do Federal Hall
Falando em degraus, se você não conseguir encontrar uma colina perto de você, uma escada gigante pode funcionar! É por isso que os Bethesda Steps são tão populares, e você provavelmente verá alguns nova-iorquinos deslizando pelas escadas do Federal Hall na Wall St. Se você escorregar, no entanto, não haverá tanto amortecimento!

5. Parque Astoria
Esse parque oferece vistas deslumbrantes do East River, da Hell’s Gate Bridge e do horizonte de Midtown East enquanto você desliza pelas encostas suaves. Há uma enorme colina inclinada na extremidade sul do parque, onde recomendamos que você vá!
Onde: 19 Street entre Shore Boulevard e Ditmars Boulevard
6. Parque Riverside
A principal colina para trenós no Riverside Park fica perto da Riverside Drive, na 103rd Street. Há também uma colina ainda mais íngreme duas quadras acima, na 108th St. Ou, se você estiver um pouco mais ao sul, pare no Hippo Playground, onde você pode tanto andar de trenó quanto brincar no invernal jungle gym.
Onde: Das ruas 72nd a 158th ao longo do Hudson River
7. Carl Schurz Park
Dirija-se à 89th Street, o gramado ao norte da Gracie Mansion, logo após a East End Avenue, para os melhores trenós nesse parque do Upper East Side.
Onde: Da East End Av até o East River, da E 84 St até a E 90 St
8. Forest Park
A melhor colina nesse parque de mais de 500 acres do Queens fica no Mary Whelan Playground, na 79th Street e Park Lane South. Além disso, sua colina de trenó designada no campo de golfe é um ótimo lugar para se divertir em família durante o inverno.
Onde: Entre Myrtle Ave, Union Tpke, Park Lane S.
9. Ilha Roosevelt
Onde: East River, chegue de metrô (trem F), Roosevelt Island Tram a partir da 59th St. ou NYC Ferry
O que saber: Entre o East Side de Manhattan e Long Island City, a Roosevelt Island tem dois parques de amplo espaço aberto em ambos os lados da ilha para todas as suas necessidades em um dia de neve. Os moradores locais gostam de andar de trenó pelas colinas do Cornell Tech Campus Hills no meio da ilha, com excelentes vistas da Queensboro Bridge.
10. Battery Park
As colinas aqui são bem tranquilas, mas vá até a seção Teardrop Park para ver as melhores (perfeitas para crianças)!
Onde: Entre Battery Pl, State St. e Whitehall St.
