From book artisans to master jewellers and leather craftsmen, there are workshops in Madrid that use handmade techniques to preserve the artisan tradition so deeply rooted in this city. From jazz to rock and electronic music, there is truly something for everyone. It is also the birthplace of great festivals such as Mad Cool, International Jazz Festival Madrid and Botanical Nights – and this year the city will host concerts from a line-up of top artists including Dua Lipa, Nick Cave, Bryan Adams and Crystal Fighters.
