5 Fabulous Ways To Celebrate Mardi Gras In New York City

It won’t be the party that happens in New Orleans, but NYC will do plenty of celebrating on Fat Tuesday next week. Here are five great ways to partake in the fun:

This celebration will actually take place on Saturday night, so it’s great if you don’t want to have to suffer through Wednesday with a hangover. When you RSVP on the Fever app, admission is completely free until 12:30 pm, and you get access to an open vodka bar from 10 to 11pm.

2. Mardi Gras Bash at The Bell House

The Bell House is putting on a wild and crazy show featuring the Hungry March Band, Jonathan Toubin and Baby Soda, and hosted by Tanya Solomon. The music, the drinks, and the atmosphere will all be giving off the New Orleans vibe.

This performance wasn’t necessarily planned to celebrate Mardi Gras, but it will take place on Tuesday of next week, and you will get to enjoy some fantastic jazz music. The Bronx Conexión is a Latin jazz ensemble, with a different sound from New Orleans jazz, but you might like it if you give it a try.

5. Mardi Gras at Duane Park
