New York City’s latest heat wave has many families searching for ways to stay cool without spending a fortune. And while splash pads, beaches, and ice cream runs are all great options, sometimes nothing beats escaping into an air-conditioned movie theater with a bucket of popcorn in hand.
Luckily, AMC is making that summer tradition much more affordable.
The theater chain has announced the return of its popular Summer Movie Camp program, offering family-friendly movies for just $3 per ticket throughout the summer.
AMC’s Summer Movie Camp is back with $3 movie tickets
Running from June 22 through August 12, the annual program brings beloved family films back to the big screen every Monday and Wednesday at participating AMC locations.
Tickets are priced at just $3 per showing, though moviegoers should note that a $2.49 online processing fee applies. The fee is waived for AMC Stubs A-List and Premiere members, as well as Premiere Go! members purchasing four or more tickets.
Even better, a portion of every ticket sold will benefit the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation, a nonprofit that supports members of the entertainment industry during times of need.

Families can revisit recent favorites, animated adventures, and nostalgic classics throughout the eight-week program:
- June 22 & 24: Paddington in Peru
- June 29 & July 1: David
- July 6 & 8: How to Train Your Dragon
- July 13 & 15: The Lego Movie
- July 20 & 22: Sonic the Hedgehog 3
- July 27 & 29: The Bad Guys 2
- August 3 & 5: The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants
- August 10 & 12: Muppet Treasure Island
