Purchased by billionaire Ken Griffin on Wednesday, January 23, this is the most expensive U.S. home purchase recorded. The 65-story building is nearly finished being built, and Griffin now owns three top floors that together cover about 24,000-square-feet. The apartment also features a 649-square-foot private terrace with sweeping views of the city.
Accordingto CNBC, the hedge fund billionaire recently purchased the most expensive home in London as well—which was $122 million. He’s also set several other real estate records with homes in Miami, Palm Beach, and Chicago.
