January is officially here and that means it’s award season, starting with the Golden Globes Awards! As we look forward to some eye-catching releases happening in 2025, it’s all not without recognizing the best cinema and TV shows that graced our screens in 2024.
Without the dominance in the movie business like the previous year’s Oppenheimer/Barbie takeover, this year’s awards are set to be much more interesting…spreading recognition to many different titles up for nomination.

When are the Golden Globes?
This year’s Golden Globes Awards will take place on Sunday, January 5th, 2025 beginning at 8 pm ET. The ceremony takes place at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.
There’s also a Golden Globes red carpet that begins at 6:30 pm ET, which can be streamed both online and on socials via Golden Globes, Variety, and Entertainment Tonight’s accounts and websites.
Who is hosting the Golden Globes?
This year’s award ceremony will welcome talented comedian and actress Nikki Glaser as the Golden Globes’ very first solo female host.
Glaser had quite a successful 2024, coming off a highly recognizable appearance on Netflix’s “The Roast of Tom Brady” as well as multiple hilarious roasts on Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime.
How to watch the Golden Globes on TV
The 2025 Golden Globes will air live on television (cable/antenna) on CBS at 8 pm.
How to stream the Golden Globes
The Golden Globes can be streamed live on live on Paramount+ with Showtime starting at 8 pm. Live TV streaming services that offer CBS will also be airing the ceremony at 8 pm, such as YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and FuboTV.
