God knows we could all use a good laugh after 2016. A new year brings new comedy back to the city, some familiar faces, and some new. Here is our rundown of the 7 funniest shows coming to the city in January.

Since 1986, this comedy club has kept New Yorkers laughing with sets from some of the brightest in the business like Amy Schumer, Artie Lange and Aziz Ansari, rightfully landing it the title of the “incubator of stand-up nobility” by New York Magazine.

We Are Thomasse

The British-American comedy team that make up We Are Thomasse have been compared to both Monty Python and Key & Peele. Their fast paced sketch comedy show offers up sharp wit and genuine belly laughs.

Jerry Seinfeld: The Homestand

When he-s not in Cars getting coffee with other comedians, Jerry Seinfeld has been known to do a bit of stand-up. The legendary comedian has been performing monthly shows at the Beacon since early 2016, luckily he’s sticking around for this January 5th show.
