Is there anything sweeter than Gilmore Girls? The TV show that has enamored hearts and minds all over the nation is back. No, no, we are not talking about Netflix’s brand new miniseries. With a bit of cream, natural flavors, refrigeration and NYC genius, Gilmore Girls is back cooler and sweeter than ever. Ample Hill Creamery doesn’t do big marketing budgets, but that’s because their ice creams speaks for itself. Their new flavor: “They Scoop Gilmore’s, Don’t They?” is a Gilmore Girls themed ice cream.

Thank you to all those fans who participated in our #GilmoreGirlsIceCream contest! After combing through over 2,500 entries, we are thrilled to announce the winning flavor! They Scoop Gilmores, Don’t They? Coffee (of course) chocolate pudding ice cream (because Emily is trying after all) but oy, with the snickerdoodles already– topped with pink [Pop Tart] sprinkles. There were so many excellent options, puns and flavor combinations that we couldn’t choose just one. The winning flavor is an amalgamation of three amazing suggestions: @pauline__beal’s allusion to Emily’s attempt at chocolate pudding, @ryebecca’s ingenius “oy with the snickerdoodles already” and @jjjmmd’s name– a reference to a reference to a reference. This flavor will be available at all our NYC scoop shops beginning this week and is available for nationwide shipping now! You can order individual pints in a Choose Your Own Story 5-Pack or opt for a Gilmore Girls-themed 4-Pack: Where You Lead, I Will Marshmallow (name suggested by Rebecca Phillips). Copper boom!

Fans got to submit suggestions for the ice cream flavors. “They Scoop Gilmores, Don’t They?” is a combination of chocolate pudding, coffee, snickerdoodle cookies and Pop Tart sprinkles, all ingredients are of course references to the show. This is not the first time Ample Hill Creamery has done ice cream based on a TV show. They are well known for their special editions. Some highlights are the Breaking Bad ice cream, with blue rock candy imported from New Mexico; their presidential ice cream, with “Madam President” and “Make American Orange Again”; and even a Star Wars themed ice cream with a “force” and “dark side” flavors.
